Sassy in the Morning Sun

The pattern will get off to the printer asap and be ready in June.  The fabrics are by Moda and Amy Butler.  The pattern is by me!  Sorry if I confused everyone.  I get lots of e-mails asking what fabrics I use. All the patterns on this blog are Barbara Brandeburg / Cabbage Rose. 

I've been known to use fifty different prints on a quilt pattern, and you can imagine how hard it is to keep all the fabric lines straight on those projects. These aprons almost seem too easy to me! Just 2.

Swanky fabric group by Chez Moi, Moda.  These little aprons are so fast to make that ya can't just stop at one! The pattern will be ready to ship in June.

Joanna from Fig Tree designs such gorgeous vintage palette prints. This version of the Sassy Little Apron pattern is from her Patisserie line from Moda.

Okay, it's later.  Soooo, I just tried on my apron because I'm writing instructions.  I feel soooo dang girly in this thing.  I'm dancing around the kitchen right now!!  This is my favorite thing I've ever designed.  (I always say that.)  I even look thinner in this apron and who can't be happy about that?!

Birdies Everywhere

The Birdies are taking over. This little cutie-pie popped up over at   Strawberry Patches.  What a great idea to use ric rac on the edges of the block.  Now why didn't I think of that?!  Suzanne is one of the classiest shop owners ever! Thank you Suzanne! Her shop is in Bakersfield, California.

Feeling Sassy

A Sassy Little Apron pattern coming your way.  This was a spur of the moment idea, grabbing a few random "nothin special" prints for a quick prototype.  I'm so, so happy. Love the vintage buttons, mismatched from the button box.  I zoomed into the local quilt shop at three minutes before five to grab a few different prints to stitch up a few more. Nothing more fun than a rainy day with my Bernina. If you visit other designer blogs, you can feel the frenzy getting ready for the semi-annual trade show.  Designing a new little treat is much more fun!
